| Interpreter for the Deaf/HH - Critical Shortage Position CERTIFIED INTERPRETER: Meet all requirements for one of the following levels of interpreters: Certified Interpreter - Must have a high school diploma and hold certification in interpreting through one of the following: (1) Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment at a Level 3.5, or (2) LA Commission for the Deaf at a Level 2 (Acceptance will be determined on an individual basis for those transferring with certification from another state) Associate Degree - Must have an Associate Degree in Interpreting or Liberal Arts area and one of the following: (1) Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, or (2) Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment at a Level 4, or (3) LA Commission for the Deaf at a Level 3 Bachelor's Degree - Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Interpreting and one of the following: (1) Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, or (2) Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment at a Level 4, or (3) LA Commission for the Deaf at a Level 4 Interested applicants should contact Vickie Smith at 318-443-4572 or [email protected] for more information. |
